The embodiment of American home cooking is both comforting and exciting in its familiar but rich and natural flavors. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and reflect on the smells and tastes of grandma’s kitchen.
This experience will allow you to prepare a tantalizing spread of southern staples – “greens, pinto beans, and fluffy cornbread.” Chef Echols will share his love of food and cooking techniques and then have you enjoy your creations at the end of the demonstration.
Each participant will receive a recipe pack and a takeaway gift.

Chef Darrell Echols
Chef Darrell Echols has served as a culinary arts instructor for nearly a decade. He was personally invited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to visit the country of India to teach the art of southern cooking through their “Taste of America, Train the Trainer” program to culinary instructors and restaurant owners. And most recently, during November, Chef Echols was asked to participate in a cooking discussion on the Today Show.
